Last night...

My husband had his monthly cravings...I like to call it "His Man Period". I was sitting on the computer and he goes "I have to have Strawberry Short Cake". Now, anyone that knows my hubby knows he can't stand sweets, hates cakes, cookies, dough nuts, the whole nine yards. But once a month I find Reese's in the freezer for a few hours and all the cookies gone! So, we go over to Marazzo's and he finds the cake, and while in line, he grabs 2 Mr. Good Bar's and a bag of Reese's Peanut butter cups! So, he had his cake, and now he is satisfied. It usually lasts about a day or two! Does this happen to any body else's hubbies once a month? I swear men get their period too!

Were playing in the backyard with those thingy's that fall off the trees...I can't remember what they are called, but if you throw them, they fly like a helicopter...weird...but they were having a blast!

Dave's 29th Birthday...

was yesterday. He wanted a home cooked meal, so he asked for fried chicken, twice baked potato and string beans, with of course his favorite sweet that he will only eat is brownines. So, we had us plus Debbie and Steve over for dinner. Not a pic from dinner cause it was devoured, but I did manage to get a pic of the brownies...He had a great day. Mom took us all out for lunch to Freddie's and I made the dinner (ok, while I was making dinner Mom made the brownies!) LOL!

Our Weekend...

Here I finally got a chance to upload the pics...I have been battling Bronchitus and a sprained ankle and have not felt up to sitting on the computer after I come home from being on the computer all day...

So, here are some pics from Friday at Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty...The name on the wall is my Grandfather's...The Peter Charyak Family. He came over from Ulich, Poland in 1923, he was 7 years old. So, in his honor we bought that spot on the wall

We finally get to see Victoria!

She finally got to come over the house the other day...and when I got home Dave had already picked her up. So, as soon as I walked in the door she wanted to help me make dinner. Again, I got one snap of a pic of the rice she was making before my battery died...she made the pork chops, the rice and the corn with little assistance from me!

Our weekend!

You would never believe it!
We went to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty on friday. We had a great day, the skies were clear, nice breeze on the boats...it was perfect. So Sat...we decided to go to columbus market and walk around. We get out of the car and i fall on the uneven pavement. I didn't break anything to my knowledge, but my ankle was killing me. So, I hobbled around the market. Sat evening, we did dinner with Dave's Mom cause it was our one year on Sunday and she didn't make it to the wedding. So, then sunday we packed our bags and headed for Atlantic City. We booked a room at the Ramada (Cause the AC hotels were outrageous!) and we head for the boardwalk. It took longer than usual to walk it cause I was hobbling! Then Dave had to sit cause he couldn't breathe right. We get the guys on the boardwalk to push us back to Taj Mahal where we parked and he is now having a full blown Asthma Attack. (By the way, he never carries his inhalers, but his ashtam only acts up when he is sick, and my Aunt brought home a bug on tues that she was fighting). We get in the car and we had to check out of the hotel cause i thought I was going to have to take him to the ER. The refund us the money cause we were only checked in for 2 and a half hours. We drive to his Mom's cause they have the asthma machine. He barely makes it in the door! So, we go home and Monday morning we make appts for the Dr (We go to the same one) cause now I woke up with a hacking cough, and my ankle was really bad at this point. We go to the Dr and he gets another treatment, and I get checked out and now have bronchitus and need a Xray on my ankle. As I was walking out his Dr tells us she will call ahead to RWJ cause she wants him to directly go to the ER cause his breathing was so shallow and pulse ox was so low. So, I drop him at the ER, I run to get the scripts filled, get my Xray of the ankle (which is a soft tissue damage...AKA Sprained, and they tell me I would have been better off breaking my ankle cause I wouldnt' be in the pain that I am in right now) and then run back to the hospital. At that point i was only gone an hour and they only checked him in. So, they take him back, give him some steriods, a treatment and a script (4 hours later). We get home, Im miserable, my foot is killing me, we didnt' eat, he is finaly able to breathe somewhat, so we ordered dinner and had our piece of wedding cake topper that we had in the freezer from the wedding. What an adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I do have some pics from Friday, and Ill take a pic of my ankle, I look like I have two of them! ! ! !

While I was getting my hair done...

Billy got a new lens on his camera. So, he was using my wedding ring as a model..I forgot to take a finished pic of my hair. I will be taking that this week! It looks great!

Is cutting my hair tomorrow. Now, I am a nut and I think I do drive her crazy but she would never admit it cause I start with the emails..."I want something different" or "How would I look like with Black hair"...and she is always so nice about it. She says "Helena, with black hair you would look like a ghost!" or "Helena, what do you want different" and I know myself cause of how round my face is I just can't go super short, althought it would probably make my hair super managable...but this time I told her lets do shoulder length with tons of layers and bangs...Ok...bangs are big for me cause I have naturally curly, frizzy, wavy hair but I have to get out of the horrible habit of always putting my hair in a clip. So, I firgured sholder length would do me ok, and the bangs will give me a different look. So, I will bring my camera tomorrow night to see how my new sholder length hair will look...

Pics of Mom's Cruise. She said she had a blast. They missed Rhode Island cause of Hanna so they got into Brooklyn on Sat and had to stay on the ship until Sunday morning due to Customs. Ever since Rose told Jack she would "Never Let Go" on Titanic I have been infatuated with Titanic related things. So...while Mom was in Halifax, she visited the graves of the Titanic "Lost at Sea" bodies and got me a book on it...here are some of the pics...Oh...and the J. Dawson is just a coincidence. It is not the character that Leo portrayed

Used to this blogging, so we are on the highway last sunday and half way up I think...Wow, I forgot my camera! So, now I have to wait until Mom comes back on sunday to upload the pics of the boat. Blonde moment!!!! Nothing to new to report at this time, after the weekend I will have more pics! Have a good weekend!!!!
